The Department of Student Activities at Texas A&M University is located in College Station, Texas otherwise known as Aggieland. Aggieland is home to over 60,000 students, a wide array of traditions, 140 years of history, over one thousand student organizations, and so much more.
The Department of Student Activities houses six areas that provide programs and services to students and the over one thousand recognized student organizations at Texas A&M. These areas include Campus Engagement and Traditions, Extended Orientation, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (OFSL), Leadership and Service Center (LSC), Student Organization Development and Administration (SODA), and Student Organization Financial Center (SOFC).
The mission of the Department of Student Activities states “The Department of Student Activities creates and fosters leadership and involvement opportunities that enhance personal, interpersonal, and organizational development of students and student organizations. As members of the university community, we are committed to developing leaders of character dedicated to serving the greater good, and we subscribe to the Texas A&M core values of Excellence, Leadership, Integrity, Respect, Selfless Service, and Loyalty.”
In order to fulfill their mission, the department offers service opportunities, teaches past, present, and future Aggies about the traditions of Texas A&M, and provides unlimited leadership experiences. Student Activities helps students get involved so they can develop as a leader and serve others.
